HAIR IMPLANT
Hair transplantation is a surgical procedure in which individual hair follicles are transplanted from one part of the head “donor area”, to another part of the head “recipient area”. It is mainly used to treat male pattern baldness. With a minimally invasive procedure, grafts containing hair follicles that are genetically resistant to baldness are transplanted into bald scalps.
This hair transplant procedure is called a follicular unit transplant (FUT). Donor hair can be implanted in two different ways: the follicular unit collection and extraction (FUE) strip, which involves the removal of individual follicles from the donor area, without stitches, that is, without leaving scars.
