ADAM´S APPLE

Adam’s apple surgery is also known as Chondrolaryngoplasty. It is a characteristic feature of men and is very rare in women. It is one of the most requested procedures when it comes to facial feminization surgery.

Technically it is known as “laryngeal prominence”, and it refers to the protrusion that is formed between the angle of the thyroid cartilage towards the larynx. It is expressed as a lump under the skin of the neck and has different angles in men (about 90º) and in women (about 120º). We use an underchin incision and also an intraoral endoscopic approach to do the surgery.
